According to The Telegraph, Everton are showing interest in signing Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic. The experienced Austrian international has been in impressive form this season, scoring eight goals in 14 league games.
Everton are currently without a manager after sacking Frank Lampard, and are in danger of being relegated. To turn things around, the Toffees will need to bring in some new talent and Arnautovic could be a valuable addition to the team.
Arnautovic has a proven track record of scoring goals in the Premier League, having previously played for West Ham, where he was a favourite of former Everton manager David Moyes. Moyes has recently been linked with a return to the club and Arnautovic could be a player he would be interested in reuniting with.

Moyes spoke very highly of the Austrian during his time at West Ham actually:
“He’s really fast, he’s powerful. He’s a top player and I think he could play for any of the top teams because of what he’s got,” Moyes said.
“He’s a good type, he just needs some tough love. At times he’s a strange character but a good boy.”
In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Arnautovic is also feared by defenders due to his strength, physicality and ability to hold the ball up – skills that would be useful for any team team fighting to avoid relegation. Furthermore, Arnautovic has a real no-nonsense attitude on the pitch and could be a leader in a dressing room that is really lacking any sort of character at this moment in time.
Everton already have a striker similar to Arnautovic in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but the young Englishman has been linked with a move to Newcastle United. If Calvert-Lewin were to leave, Arnautovic could be a suitable replacement – albeit not a long-term one at the age
Arnautovic was also linked with Manchester United in the summer, but a move never materialized. With Everton in need of a striker and Arnautovic’s impressive form, a move to Goodison Park could be on the cards.
Of course, finalising any transfer is difficult for Everton right now as they don’t have a manager, but players like Arnautovic are exactly what the Toffees need if they’re going to stay up.
