According to Tuttomercatoweb, Everton is now the most likely destination for Napoli midfielder Allan ahead of the summer window.
It’s claimed that Napoli are preparing to lose two key players. Defender Kalidou Koulibaly and midfielder Allan are set to move on, potentially bringing in big money.
The report notes that Allan was close to joining Paris Saint-Germain a year ago. Now though, his ‘most likely destination’ is Everton.
Carlo Ancelotti allegedly wants to reunite with the Brazilian, having coached him at Napoli. A deal won’t come cheap, but Napoli seem to have found a replacement.
This report states that Napoli want Roma’s Jordan Veretout, viewing him as the player to come in and take Allan’s place in midfield.
Some may remember Veretout as an Aston Villa flop, but he has impressed in Italy. He’s currently on loan at Roma from Fiorentina, but they have an obligation to buy him.

Napoli seemingly want to bring him in, allowing Allan to join Everton. The 29-year-old has starred for Napoli since his 2013 move from Udinese, but has been on a rocky path with boss Gennaro Gattuso.
Ancelotti wants more energy in his Everton midfield, and Allan can provide that. Everton’s budget will though be impacted by the global pandemic, so a deal may still prove tricky despite these reports.
