Everton are interested in re-signing Leeds United goalkeeper Joel Robles as Sean Dyche considers a shock return.
Joel Robles could return to Everton this summer after tasting relegation to the Championship with Leeds United.
That is according to a report from The Sun, who claim that Everton are interested in bringing Robles back to Goodison Park.
Manager Dyche is understood to be keen on adding an experienced goalkeeper as competition for Jordan Pickford.
Asmir Begovic is leaving Everton this summer and whilst Andy Lonergan may stay, he is more of a third-choice stopper.
Robles is believed to be an option for Everton in what would be a return to Goodison Park.
The Spaniard first joined Everton back in 2013 as he followed Roberto Martinez after a loan spell at Wigan Athletic.
Robles mostly served as a backup goalkeeper at Everton but did manage 65 first-team appearances for the Toffees.
Robles then decided to return home to Spain with Real Betis in 2018, only to have another crack at Premier League action by joining Leeds United last summer.

Sam Allardyce came in with four games to go and ended up going for Robles as his first-choice stopper over Meslier.
Robles couldn’t help Leeds stay up but he equipped himself well and has been highly valued at Elland Road all season.
Jesse Marsch hailed Robles as an ‘absolutely fantastic’ signing just because of his influence on young goalkeepers at Leeds.
The 32-year-old has spent most of his career as a backup goalkeeper but seems to be a top influence at every club.
Robles is now out of contract at Leeds having only penned a one-year deal last summer.
Some fans want him to stay but having dropped into the Championship, Robles may be tempted by a Premier League offer.
Dyche could now move to bring Robles back to Everton and the Spaniard would surely be tempted by that move.
