According to the Daily Star, Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham United are keen on Manchester United playmaker Andreas Pereira.
It’s claimed that United want to sign Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek this summer. However, they may need to offload a midfielder to make room and raise some funds.
Pereira is the leading candidate to go. The Brazilian midfielder has interest from three Premier League clubs, with Everton, Newcastle and West Ham believed to be interested.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is allegedly open to selling the 24-year-old. It’s unclear how much he would cost to sign, but any team would have to take on his £45,000-a-week wages.
That may be a considerable undertaking for any club in the current climate, but Everton’s interest is fascinating given Pereira’s ties to Marcel Brands.
Everton’s director of football was in a similar role at PSV Eindhoven when Pereira was coming through there. In 2011, Brands saw Pereira leave for his big move to United.

A reunion may be appealing to Brands, but he will face competition for his signature. It seems that West Ham are keen, and David Moyes was in charge of United when Pereira was in the developmental ranks.
Newcastle could have the biggest budget of the lot if their takeover goes through, with Pereira’s agent no doubt putting his name out there to drum up some interest.
