Crystal Palace are hunting a loan deal for Everton’s James McCarthy.

According to the Irish Independent, Everton could lose James McCarthy to Crystal Palace today.
McCarthy has not played at all for Everton this season, after a serious injury dented his progress at Goodison Park.
McCarthy broke his leg over a year ago, and he has not been given a chance to prove himself since Marco Silva took charge.
Everton are now said to be on the verge of cashing in on the combative midfielder, with Palace keen on him.
McCarthy is said to be very close to making a switch to Selhurst Park, as he seeks more game time.

The move is not even dependent on Idrissa Gueye’s future, with Everton prepared to offload McCarthy regardless of whether the Senegalese international ends up at PSG or not.
McCarthy’s initial move to Palace is set to be a loan, although a permanent deal could be arranged in the summer, if all goes well.
