Brighton and Hove Albion are keen to sign Everton striker Oumar Niasse, who is also attracting attention from the likes of Newcastle United and Burnley.

According to the Daily Mail’s live transfer feed (3rd August 2017; 16:53), Brighton are reluctant to pay more than £6 million for Everton striker Oumar Niasse this summer.

The Irish Sun reported last month that the Seagulls were not only in the mix but in pole position for the 27-year-old, but would have to see off competition from the likes of Newcastle and Burnley for his signature.

It was also reported by The Irish Sun that the Toffees wanted to recoup at least £10 million of the £13.5 million they spent on the forward, who has endured a fairly miserable time since arriving at Goodison Park.

However, according to the Daily Mail’s live transfer feed, Chris Hughton’s men are not too keen to pay more than £6 million for the 27-year-old.

Given Brighton’s apparent hesitancy to offer the amount that Everton would reportedly want before they sell Niasse, it would certainly appear that Newcastle and Burnley could be let back into the race if they are able to offer the kind of fee that the Merseyside outfit want.

However, it could be argued that a significant portion of the fans from Brighton, Newcastle and Burnley will be hoping that their club avoids meeting Everton’s apparent demands.

Niasse has scored just four times in 22 Premier League games for the Toffees and Hull City, so if any of the trio have the money to meet his asking price, it would undoubtedly be a gamble to make a move happen.
