According to Mundo Deportivo, Everton have put an offer on the table for Real Madrid contract rebel Lucas Vazquez.
It’s claimed that Vazquez has rejected Real Madrid’s offer of a new deal, and he will be leaving when his contract expires this summer.
So where is Vazquez going? Well, the report states that Vazquez has a contract offer on the table from Everton, but two other clubs have also made moves.
Napoli and AC Milan – two of Carlo Ancelotti’s former clubs – have allegedly offered contracts to Vazquez, meaning there is a real battle on the cards for his signature.
Everton are in the market for a new right back and right winger this summer, and with Vazquez able to play in both positions, he may be seen as a player who can kill two bids with one stone, so to speak.
Vazquez, 29, was emerging at Real Madrid when Ancelotti was in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu, and a reunion could appeal to the Spaniard.
Ancelotti has other clubs to worry about too, as The Mirror claim that Vazquez has been offered to Arsenal and Spurs, with the player fancying a move to join Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.
Everton have at least made a first move by sending him a pre-contract offer, but they appear to be a long way away from getting a deal done.
