Manchester United winger Daniel James is wanted by Leeds United and Everton ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that Ronaldo returning to the club from Juventus now means players could be on the way out.
One of them is James, with the Wales international potentially being pushed out of Old Trafford either on loan or permanently just two years since his £15million move from Swansea City.
Ronaldo may not be playing on the flanks, but his arrival means there is a logjam in wide areas with Mason Greenwood, Jason Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial all fighting for action this season.
James may now find it very difficult to play, and it’s claimed that interested clubs have been told to make their offers ahead of the transfer deadline.
Brighton and Hove Albion want James, with boss Graham Potter having coached him at Swansea, whilst Crystal Palace also keen.
Everton and Leeds United are also keen, with enquiries now being made by the Toffees for the 23-year-old ahead of a potential deadline-beating deal.

Leeds have twice tried to sign James in the past, and could stand to add another winger having allowed Ian Carlo Poveda to join Blackburn Rovers on loan.
Everton have brought in a couple of wingers in Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend, but James can bring another speedy option to Rafael Benitez’s side.
There isn’t much time left to get a deal done, but this late blockbuster move for Ronaldo may now lead to Leeds or Everton clinching a new signing.
