Everton have reportedly made contact with Guus Hiddink.
Guus Hiddink
According to The Mirror, Everton have sounded out Guus Hiddink about potentially becoming their new manager following Ronald Koeman’s exit.
The Toffees lost five of their first nine Premier League games under Koeman this season, leading to the Dutchman’s exit last week following a 5-2 home defeat against Arsenal.
David Unsworth has lost twice since becoming caretaker manager, and with Everton’s season in real danger of becoming a disaster, they may look to make a swift decision over their new manager.

A number of names have been suggested for the job, including Sean Dyche, Nuno Espirito Santo and Sam Allardyce, but now a surprise name is believed to be in the frame.
The Mirror report that Everton have made contact with Guus Hiddink over potentially taking the job, which would surely only be until the end of the season, given that he is now 70.
Hiddink’s last managerial job was with Chelsea following Jose Mourinho departure in 2015, where he won 37% of his games and again steadied the ship at Stamford Bridge, just as he did in 2009.
Guus Hiddink
A veteran manager who has taken charge of the likes of Fenerbahce, Valencia, Real Madrid, Real Betis, South Korea, Australia, Russia, Turkey, Anzhi Makhachkala and had two spells in charge of the Netherlands, Hiddink would be a tried-and-tested option for Everton if they follow through with a deal.
Intriguingly, a move for Hiddink would be a strange twist of fate, given that he actually managed ex-Everton boss Koeman at PSV Eindhoven in the late 1980’s, and could now be in line to replace his former player.
