Kurt Zouma could be set to return to Everton from Premier League giants Chelsea – Marco Silva and Marcel Brands both reportedly want him.

Everton have made signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma their top priority after sealing a deal for fellow loan star Andre Gomes, according to the BBC.
Both Zouma and Gomes spent the 2017/18 season at Goodison Park from Chelsea and Barcelona respectively, playing a major role as The Toffees recovered from an inconsistent start to seal an impressive eighth place finish.
Everton have ensured that Gomes will be sticking around, paying £22 million to sign the Portugal international permanently, and the Merseyside giants are hoping to follow up that bargain deal by bringing the French centre-half back too.
The BBC reports that Everton are stepping up their interest with Silva and director of football Marcel Brands in agreement that Zouma should be the club’s next number one target.

The former St Etienne starlet will cost at least £30 million according to BBC Sport, a fee that could make him their third most expensive signing ever. Fortunately, Zouma is keen to return to Goodison Park and, in this era of player power, that should make Everton’s task a lot easier.
Zouma appears to have been around forever and it is easy to forget that he is just 24-years-old. He is a defender with real star quality and, even at £30 million, Zouma could be worth every penny for an ambitious Everton side with European ambitions.
