The Everton defender apparently wants his loan at the Stadium of Light cancelled.

The 21-year-old has only played seven times for the Black Cats this season, and just twice since September, after joining from the Toffees in the summer.

Sky Sports understands that Galloway has struggled in the pressure cooker atmosphere of Sunderland’s Championship relegation battle and has asked Everton to cancel his loan at the Stadium of Light.
Chris Coleman’s side have won two of their last four matches but remain in the bottom three.

With Sam Allardyce also having no immediate plans for the defender at Goodison Park, Galloway is hoping to rejoin MK Dons, from where Everton signed him in 2014.
The Dons themselves are embroiled in a battle against the drop in League One, sitting three points adrift of safety, and would be boosted by Galloway’s return, if it could be arranged.
