Everton reportedly are leading the race to sign Abdul Baba Rahman.

According to reports from Ghanasoccernet, Premier League outfit Everton are leading the race to sign Chelsea owned defender, Abdul Rahman Baba.
Rahman joined Chelsea in August 2015 from German club Augsburg, and has made 15 Premier League appearances till date for the Blues.
He joined Schalke 04 on loan last season after failing to impress manager, Antonio Conte. He made 13 appearances for the Bundesliga club and was playing with confidence, but a horrific knee injury ruled him out of the second half of the season.
Conte has made it clear to him that he wants an attacking minded left-back, and that he doesn’t see him playing a part in his long term plans.
Rahman, 22, has a contract at the London club till 2020, but in all probability Chelsea will allow him to move elsewhere.

Schalke, who lost Sead Kolasinac to Arsenal this summer, are keen to retain the services of the defender, and have reportedly agreed terms with the player already.
However, the report claims that Everton have not only joined the race but have moved ahead of Schalke in the last 48 hours for his signature.
Rahman would be a good signing for Everton. With Leighton Baines not getting any younger (will turn 33 by the end of this year) Ronald Koeman needs a quality young defender for the long term.
