According to The Sun, West Ham United are plotting a summer move for Blackburn Rovers striker Adam Armstrong.
The report adds that Everton and Fulham are also keen on signing Armstrong, but see him more as a depth option right now.
West Ham are more interested in Armstrong right now, and even considered an £8million bid for him during the January window.
David Moyes chose to hold off and continue checks on Armstrong between now and the end of the season with a summer bid in mind.
Rovers will allegedly have to sell Armstrong this summer if they don’t win promotion, with Premier League clubs clearly lurking.
Armstrong, 23, completed a permanent move to Rovers from Newcastle in 2018, and has really been a Championship star this season.
Armstrong has smashed 17 goals in just 26 Championship games for Rovers this season, and his versatility to play anywhere across the front line has to be appealing.
He didn’t really get his Premier League chance with Newcastle, and it could now come with West Ham in the summer, given that Everton have moved for Joshua King and may now keep him long-term.
