According to Sky Sports, Everton are interested in signing Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng on a free transfer this summer.
The Toffees did beat Newcastle United 1-0 on Monday night, but question marks still linger over the future of manager Sam Allardyce, who could be replaced this summer despite only arriving at Goodison Park in November.
Whilst majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri will be contemplating that decision, Everton may look to get a head start on the summer transfer window by targeting a player whose contract is expiring.
Sky Sports report that Everton are keen on Swansea City ace Ki Sung-yueng, and could launch a move to sign the midfielder for free this summer.
It’s claimed that AC Milan – as well as four other Premier League clubs – are all vying for Ki’s signature, and now Everton are entering themselves into the race.
Ki, 28, has been a regular for Swansea since signing from Celtic back in 2012, and has two goals in 22 appearances for the club this season as he continues to impress under the radar.
An unheralded midfielder who can now be landed in a bargain deal, Ki could provide depth to the Everton midfield, even if his potential signing may not necessarily set pulses racing at Goodison Park.
