Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe can add Everton to his list of admirers, according to the Sun.
Everton have been linked with moves for Andre Gray and Kelechi Iheanacho in recent days as they look to bolster their front line in the summer transfer window, and Defoe would be another in that mould.
The 34-year-old has scored 15 league goals in an already relegated Sunderland side, but can leave the Stadium of Light for nothing due to a clause in his contract.
That is said to have alerted a string of Premier League clubs to his services, with Defoe’s former clubs Bournemouth and West Ham United rivalling Everton for his signature.

According to the Sun, Bournemouth are planning to offer the England international a three-year deal worth £115,000-a-week to secure his signature.
However, Everton could tempt Defoe with the prospect of continental football next season, having already sealed their place in the Europa League.
Which of Defoe, Gray or Iheanacho would be the best signing for Everton?
