Everton and Crystal Palace reportedly want Freddie Woodman from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.

Everton are interested in signing Freddie Woodman from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to The Chronicle.

It has been reported that Crystal Palace are also interested in securing the services of the 20-year-old goalkeeper on a permanent deal this summer.

The England Under-21 goalkeeper is eager to be loaned out to a club in League One for the 2017-18 campaign, according to the report.

Woodman is only 20 years of age and has yet to establish himself in the Newcastle first team, but the youngster is hugely talented and has a lot of potential.

Everton have already signed a youngster from Newcastle this summer – Lewis Gibson. The Toffees had to pay the Magpies an initial compensation fee of around £900,000 for the teenage defender, according to The Chronicle.

It will be interesting to see how Newcastle react if Everton or Palace do make a bid for Woodman.

The 20-year-old is not ready yet to play in the Premier League week in and week out, but it is important for the Magpies in the long run to keep hold of such a young and promising footballer.
