Zenit St. Petersburg striker Artem Dzyuba is reportedly on the radar of Everton.

According to RT, Everton are interested in signing Artem Dzyuba from Zenit St. Petersburg in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that Everton wanted the striker in the summer of 2018 and are now showing substantial interest in the Russia international this month.

The former Spartak Moscow striker himself is open to moving to England, with Everton manager Marco Silva interested in him, according to the report.

Stats

Artem Dzyuba has made 16 appearances in the Russian Premier League for Zenit this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

The striker has also played four times in the Europa League for the Russian club this campaign, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Need for a striker

Everton do need to sign a striker in the January transfer window, as Cenk Tosun is not playing well at the moment and is struggling to feature regularly in Silva’s starting lineup.

Dzyuba could be an underwhelming signing for Everton in the long run, but a loan deal until the end of the season is not a bad idea.
