Everton are said to be very keen to snap up Andre Gray from Burnley this summer.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Everton have commenced talks with Burnley over Andre Gray.

Everton were linked with making a move for Gray, but appear to have stepped up their chase now.

The Toffees are said to be in negotiations with Burnley over the 26-year-old, who they want to bring to Goodison Park.

Everton feel that Gray could enhance their forward options, as Ronald Koeman looks to cover for the void Romelu Lukaku’s expected departure will leave.

Everton are seemingly resigned to losing Lukaku this summer, with Chelsea looking likely to snap up the Belgian international.

The Toffees have already moved to sign Sandro Ramirez, and they also want Gray to strengthen their striking options.

Gray scored nine goals for Burnley in the Premier League last season, which would have put him second in Everton’s scoring charts.

No Toffees player scored more than five goals last term, with Koeman looking to improve that statistic next time around.
