According to TEAMtalk, Everton have held talks with Chelsea over the signing of Conor Gallagher, who is currently on loan at Crystal Palace.
What’s the story?
Well, this would be quite the signing for Everton.
As you’ve probably heard, Gallagher has taken the Premier League by storm this season while on loan at Crystal Palace.
The £17,000-a-week man has scored seven goals in 21 Premier League appearances, while also recording three assists.
Impressively, Gallagher also has two assists in two FA Cup outings.
The 22-year-old – who TEAMtalk say Frank Lampard knows well – even made his debut for England as a result of his fine form.
Now, Everton are keen to bring him to Goodison Park, where he would be paired with Dele Alli and Abdoulaye Doucoure in midfield.
It is unclear whether Chelsea will sell Gallagher, although Lampard wants the Toffees to be at the front of the queue if they opt to cash in.
Conor Gallagher would thrive at Everton

In our view, this would be one of the best signings in many, many years for Everton if it happens.
Gallagher is a superstar in the making, and his arrival on Merseyside would transform Everton.
Lampard already has a number of exciting young players in his squad, such as Ben Godfrey, Nathan Patterson and Vitaly Mykolenko.

Should Gallagher be added to that group, it would go some way to helping Everton transform into a youthful, vibrant side.
Keep an eye on this saga, as we presume Crystal Palace would also like to sign the Chelsea wonderkid if he becomes available.
