The Athletic reported last week that Everton want to sign United ace Dalot having looked into a deal last summer.
The 22-year-old started 10 games on loan at AC Milan last season and is now back with Manchester United, where he is unlikely to play first-team football.
Everton may hope to strike a deal, but Milan want Dalot back – and Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the move should be decided this week.
It’s unclear whether that would be a permanent deal or another loan, but Milan are in pole position and hope to have a decision on his return by the end of the week.
That leaves Everton lagging behind, and unless they attempt to accelerate their move and make a bid now, they will be left waiting to find out how Milan’s talks go in the coming days.
