According to The Telegraph, Everton have held exploratory contact over potential deals for Graham Potter and Antonio Conte.
Everton remain interested in Nuno Espirito Santo, and may have a great chance of landing him with his move to Crystal Palace collapsing.
Farhad Moshiri and co are though looking at other options, with ‘informal enquiries’ made into Potter and Conte – two managers wanted by Tottenham.
Potter makes perfect sense for Everton
The Athletic claim that Moshiri is a big fan of Brighton boss Potter, and contact being made certainly lines up with that.
Potter may have only finished 16th with Brighton, but their style of play and approach to the game was admirable, with Potter developing the Seagulls into a very stylish side.
Everton need a long-term manager now, and Potter’s ideas with a bigger club could be very interesting, with the Toffees representing a step up for arguably the most exciting England manager.
Tottenham’s Steve Hitchen wants Potter at Spurs, so Everton may need to move quickly if they really want Potter.

Conte will be an ambitious target
Conte is a totally different manager. He just left Inter Milan after winning the Serie A title, and was expected to become Tottenham manager.
That deal collapsed, meaning Everton may have a chance – but it’s hard to see them fulfilling Conte’s desires.
He wants big money and the ability to win big trophies, which isn’t really where Everton are at right now.
If Everton can land Conte, it would be a huge coup – but it just feels very unlikely.
