According to Sport, Everton are unwilling to pay more than €20 million (£18.06 million) in transfer fees for Jean-Clair Todibo of Barcelona.

It has been reported that the Toffees have ‘a loose agreement’ with Barcelona over the transfer of Todibo.

Barcelona want a fixed transfer fee of €25 million (£22.57 million), but the Toffees are not willing to budge from their first proposal, which is €20 million (£18.06 million) fixed plus €5 million (£4.51 million) in add-ons, according to the report.

The report in the Spanish publication has added that Todibo is waiting for a better offer than the one he has from Everton, with AS Roma also interested in securing the services of the 20-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder and joined Schalke on loan in the January transfer window.

Stats

Todibo has made four starts and four substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Schalke so far this season, according to WhoScored.

Meanwhile, Valladolid central defender Mohammed Salisu is holding out for a move to the Premier League, with Rennes ready to pay his release clause of £10.8 million and Everton having asked about the 21-year-old, according to The Daily Mail.
