Everton have been studying RB Leipzig striker Hwang Hee-chan ‘extensively’ and have compiled positive reports on him ahead of a possible move.
That’s according to The Athletic, who report that Hwang has been eyed for some time alongside Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze and Bayer Leverkusen wide man Leon Bailey.
Those two are prime targets for Everton this summer, whilst it seems that Hwang isn’t quite as high up on the Everton wish list.
Hwang, 25, only started three Bundesliga games for RB Leipzig last season and ended the season goalless in 21 outings for the German side.
The South Korean may need a new start this summer, and he’s a name to keep an eye on if Rafael Benitez decided to sign another striker.
Possessing blistering pace, Hwang caused Virgil van Dijk major problems when he faced Liverpool with Red Bull Salzburg in 2019, even scoring at Anfield.

Hwang allegedly rejected a move to Liverpool last summer in favour of RB Leipzig, but could find his way to Merseyside with Everton now keen.
Sport1 reported in April that West Ham United were also keen on Hwang, but Everton being linked with him once again suggests he’s a name for Toffees fans to keep an eye on in the coming months.
