Everton reportedly have a plan-b lined up for Lucas Digne if he stays in Barcelona.

According to The Daily Mail’s Live Transfer Blog [28/07/2018 15:30], Everton have identified a plan-b option in the event that a deal for Lucas Digne fails – but the player hasn’t been named.
Everton are reportedly closing in on a move for the Barcelona left-back – who earns £55,000 per week [Silly Season] – and could finalise a deal within the next 48 hours, The Daily Mail reckons.
However, the Toffees’ Director of Football Marcel Brands and new manager Marco Silva have already lined up a back-up option if they cannot sign the French defender, according to The Daily Mail’s Live Transfer Blog [28/07/2018 15:30].
The report adds that the Goodison Park side have even ‘agreed a deal in principle’ for the player in question.
Everton fans won’t want to find out who it is – even though it is fascinating to know – because discovery might indicate that a deal for Digne has failed and that would be dreadful at this stage of negotiations.
Silva wrapped up a £50 million deal for Richarlison earlier this week and the former Paris Saint-Germain ace could be their second signing of what has been a slow summer.
There is less than two weeks left in the transfer window, however, so it’s time that Everton got their skates on and began bolstering other areas of the squad.
