Brendan Galloway has returned to Everton after an extremely disappointing spell with West Bromwich Albion.

A report in the Express and Star has suggested that West Brom have terminated Brendan Galloway’s loan already and have allowed the youngster to head back to parent club Everton.
Galloway’s time at the Hawthorns never really got going with Tony Pulis often using Allan Nyom and Chris Brunt in the 21-year-old’s preferred position of left-back, and he returns to Goodison Park having made just three Premier League appearances for the Baggies, while also featuring just once since the turn of the year.
The Express and Star reports that although Galloway has returned to Merseyside, he is not able to contend for a place in Ronald Koeman’s first-team this season and instead will have to prove himself in the under-23 ranks, for whom he played for last night in the emphatic win over their Tottenham counterparts.
With Galloway not getting anything like the amount of action that Koeman would have surely expected when he gave the deal the green light last summer, he will undoubtedly be pleased to have the youngster back working with his side as that will surely give him a greater chance of pushing for a more regular spot next season.
And although the lack of appearances Galloway made means that the news will probably have little impact on Pulis’ plans, the youngsters within the squad – the Express and Star names Kane Wilson as a player who may benefit – may feel that they are perhaps closer to seeing some first-team action before the season concludes with Galloway no longer in contention.
