Everton continue to be linked with PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano.
According to the Liverpool Echo, there is no clause preventing Marcel Brands from attempting to bring PSV Eindhoven players to Everton this summer – including Hirving Lozano.
The Toffees are yet to get going in the transfer market this summer, but with new manager Marco Silva and new director of football Brands on board, business could pick up soon.
Another winger may be on Everton’s radar, and there have been strong links to PSV Eindhoven star Hirving Lozano, given that Brands signed him for the Dutch club from Pachuca last summer.
Some have wondered whether PSV would attempt to block Brands from raiding them for key players, but the Liverpool Echo claim that PSV are on great terms with Brands despite his exit, and there is no clause in his deal preventing him from targeting players from his former club.
That could be vital for Everton if Brands does have certain targets in mind, but fans will immediately be thinking about a move for Lozano, with the report specifically mentioning him as a target the Toffees are free to pursue.
Lozano, 22, is a hot name right now having scored the winning goal in Mexico’s stunning World Cup victory over Germany on Sunday, and he terrorised Joshua Kimmich throughout with his pace.
The speedy winger hit 17 goals and eight assists in a dream debut season in the Eredivisie, and his performance at the World Cup less than 48 hours ago means a summer move may be on the cards.
Everton will be just one of the clubs looking to sign him, and Brands may well hope that his relationship with PSV can help the Toffees secure a major coup with the Mexican talent’s signature this summer.
