Everton’s £13.5 million signing Oumar Niasse is on the verge of joining Hull City.
Oumar Niasse’s dreadful time at Everton appears to be reaching a conclusion after Sky Sports claimed that the striker is set to join Hull City on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old moved to Goodison Park during the last winter window for a fee of £13.5 million (via Sky Sports), but struggled to make an impact under former Toffees boss Roberto Martinez, and has subsequently been given even less of a chance under his successor Ronald Koeman.
Everton’s striker Oumar Niasse
Niasse has made just five Premier League appearances for the club, and has failed to score a single goal. And having failed to make an appearance for the first-team this season, it appears that this difficult chapter in his career is coming to an end.
While Sky Sports expects Hull to land Niasse on an initial loan deal, the report suggests that the Tigers will have the opportunity to sign the Senegal international on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign.
Hull City manager Marco Silva
New Hull boss Marco Silva will surely be hoping that Niasse rediscovers the kind of goalscoring form that he has shown previously in his career as the club need some inspiration as they currently sit at the bottom of the table.
And while Koeman has not been keen on the striker, he would not mind at all if he enjoys a successful spell away from the club as – with Hull not in direct competition with them this term – his goals could perhaps see points taken some of the Toffees’ rivals in the top-half.
