According to The Mirror (04/10, p72), Everton will target Napoli striker Fernando Llorente if Moise Kean leaves before Monday’s deadline.

It’s claimed that Kean could be on the move in the next 24 hours, and whilst a return to Italy has been rumoured, it seems that he will be off to France.

The Times claim that Kean is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan deal as he looks to get his career back on track.

Kean struggled at Everton last season having arrived as their high-profile summer signing, and he finds himself behind the red-hot Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park.

Kean’s move to PSG means that Everton need a striker, and it’s suggested that Carlo Ancelotti would want to raid former club Napoli for Llorente.

Ancelotti worked with Llorente at Napoli in the first half of last season, and has already shown a willingness to reunite with his former players having signed James Rodriguez and Allan this summer.

Ancelotti called Llorente ‘excellent’ and ‘complete’ in September 2019 when speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, showing how much he rates the Spaniard.

The 35-year-old left Tottenham in 2019 after just 13 goals in 66 games for the club, but offers a target man presence off the bench as a short-term option until Kean returns, which could make sense for the Toffees.
