Everton boss Sam Allardyce wants to bring West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans and Crystal Palace full-back Patrick van Aanholt to Goodison Park.

Everton have had one of the weakest defences in the Premier League this season, and Sam Allarcyce is determined to improve his new side’s defence.
Allardyce kept a clean sheet in his first match in charge against Everton, as the Toffees picked up a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town.

However, the veteran manager is said to be looking to strengthen his backline at the first opportunity, with Evans and Van Aanholt on his wishlist.
Allardyce has worked with Van Aanholt at both Sunderland and Palace, and is keen to manage to Dutchman for a third time at Goodison Park.

Everton, meanwhile, also are said to feel that Evans could help them at the back.
Evans has impressed over a number of seasons at West Brom, and has plenty of admirers.
Both Arsenal and Manchester City are believed to be interested in signing the Northern Ireland international, but Everton are keen to rival the Champions League chasers and offer Evans the chance to join them.
