Everton are keen on Jean Michael Seri.

Nice's Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri kicks the ball during the French L1 football match Nice vs Angers on May 14, 2017, at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice, southeastern France.

Everton have registered an interest in Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Seri has recently been linked with Liverpool and Barcelona, and has been a standout player for the Ligue 1 side over the past 18 months.

The midfielder has a £33 million release clause in his contract although The Guardian reported earlier this year the French side would accept around £20 million.

Seri scored six goals and provided nine assists last season, and this season has netted once and laid on three assists.

The midfielder is an Ivory Coast international and is also attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Everton have several options in central midfield already, but the 26-year-old would be a quality addition for Sam Allardyce’s side all the same, and could help replace Ross Barkley if he leaves.

The Evening Standard reported in August that Arsenal were also interested in Seri although did not take their interest further.
