Watford’s Troy Deeney celebrates
According to the Daily Mail, Everton have discussed a move for Watford’s Troy Deeney – but the Hornets would want a staggering £35million for their captain.
The Toffees look set to lose star striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, and they will be looking at other strikers as possible replacements.

A number of names have already been linked, and today’s reports suggest that Watford captain Troy Deeney can also be added to the list of Ronald Koeman’s targets.
The Daily Mail report that Everton have discussed making a move for Deeney, as have Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion – but Watford would want a stunning £35million for him.
Watford’s Troy Deeney
Deeney, 28, is the current Watford captain, and has racked up 303 appearances for the Hornets, scoring 106 goals; only three players have scored more goals for Watford in the club’s history.
Deeney appeared to develop a fractious relationship with Watford boss Walter Mazzarri during the second half of the season, and was regularly left on the bench towards the end of the campaign – but with Mazzarri gone, Deeney could be key again.

The striker himself, who joined Watford from Walsall back in 2010, is allegedly open to a new challenge, but Watford’s staggering £35million asking price could scupper a summer exit.
Deeney’s former club Walsall are due a cut of any move, hence Watford raising their asking price, and it’s hard to see Everton forking out so much money for a striker who turns 29 this summer.
