Everton’s Ramiro Funes Mori heads at goal
Barcelona have recently been linked with a move for Everton defender John Stones. The England international endured a tough season at Goodison Park but is clearly a super talent in the making and plenty of big clubs are looking into his signature.
Today it has emerged that Barcelona have in fact been in contact with an agent of an Everton defender this week.

However, that Everton defender was not Stones but Ramiro Funes Mori.
Mundo Deportivo report that Jorge Cyterszpiler spoke to Barca directors Robert and Ariedo Braida in Madrid yesterday.
Cyterszpiler is the man who brought Diego Maradona to Barcelona in the 1980s and currently represents Funes Mori and Atletico Madrid talent Luciano Vettio.

Whilst MD reported the meeting was informal, the same paper reported in February that Barcelona were keen on Everton’s Argentinean defender.
Funes Mori only joined Everton last summer. According to Sky Sports the Argentine cost £9.5 million from River Plate.

He has impressed this season but his form dipped toward the end of the campaign and a red card against Liverpool was also not received well.
It remains to be seen if Barca are set to come in for either Funes Mori or Stones, but Everton will be hoping it is only one and not both of them if Barca come knocking.
