Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez could join Everton by Wednesday, according to Sky Sports.
It has been reported that an agreement between Premier League club Everton and Spanish and European giants Madrid over the transfer of the Colombia international who earns £200,000 per week could be imminent.
James, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, will undergo a medical at the Toffees later this week, according to the report.
Good signing for Everton?
James did not have a great time on a personal level at Madrid last season, but the Colombia international attacker is a very good player who knows Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti well.
Ancelotti worked with the 29-year-old at Madrid and at Bayern Munich, and the Italian tactician could get the best out of the former AS Monaco star.
James scores goals and creates chances, and he is also a serial winner, having won league titles with Porto, Madrid and Bayern.
The 29-year-old also won the UEFA Europa League once with Porto and the Champions League twice with Madrid.
During the 2019-20 campaign, James made five starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, and he also played 81 minutes in the Champions League, according to WhoScored.
