Everton could make their move for Jean-Clair Todibo with their bid for Fikayo Tomori stalling, the Liverpool Echo say.

Everton are still determined to add a central defender this summer, and Todibo seems to be high up on their wishlist.

The Toffees had been hopeful of doing a deal for Tomori, but he looks more and more likely to stay at Chelsea now.

And it seems that Todibo could be an option for them, with Everton potentially about to make an offer for the £22.5 Barcelona million man (Sport).

Everton’s bid is likely to be a loan one, but it is interesting to see the 20-year-old still on Ancelotti’s wishlist.

Recent reports have suggested that Wolverhampton Wanderers were winning the race to sign Todibo, with Sport claiming that Nuno’s side were ahead of the pack.

However, it seems that Everton still have a belief that they will be able to beat Wolves to the punch if they do make a move.

Todibo could prove a valuable option for Everton, as he would add speed and technical ability to their backline if he was to join.
