Everton are willing to terminate Sandro Ramirez’s £85,000-a-week contract but the forgotten man of Goodison Park will have to accept a pay cut if he wants to join La Liga outfit Eibar this summer, according to Marca.

When Steve Walsh was unveiled as Everton’s new director of football back in 2016, majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri would have been thrilled to get his hands on a transfer market specialist who brought Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante to Leicester for a combined £7 million.

At the time, Sandro looked like another stroke of genius from one of the game’s most respected recruiters.

The Spain U21 international swapped Malaga for Merseyside after hitting 14 La Liga goals in 2015/16, setting Everton back a mere £5 million.

But, four years on, history will not look fondly on a deal which was once heralded as the signing of the summer.

Sandro has made just three Premier League starts in Everton colours, failing to score a single goal, while embarking on a series of loan spells all over Spanish soil.

A former Barcelona youngster who joined during the final few weeks of the Ronald Koeman reign has no future under Carlo Ancelotti.

According to Marca, Everton are willing to let Sandro cancel the final 12 months of his contract in order to get that £85,000-a-week deal off the wage bill.

Perennial overachievers Eibar are interested, although Sandro would have to take a massive financial hit to join the smallest club in La Liga history.

The 25-year-old did appear to get his once-promising career back on track during a loan spell at a Real Valladolid outfit owned by Brazil legend Ronaldo last season, ending a 52-game goal drought along the way.
