Everton had been planning further discussions with Arsenal over Theo Walcott this week.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton could be kept waiting in their pursuit of Arsenal’s Theo Walcott.

Everton are known to be interested in Walcott, with Sam Allardyce confirming that he is keen to sign the £20 million rated striker.

Everton intend to have further discussions with Arsenal over Walcott in the coming days.

However, it is said that the Gunners are loathed to offload Walcott at the stage of the window.

With Alexis Sanchez set to leave Arsenal to join Manchester United, Arsenal’s current forward options are looking slim and Arsene Wenger wants to make additions before letting Walcott leave.

Walcott came off the substitutes’ bench for Arsenal yesterday, during their 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth.

Everton feel that Walcott could offer them pace on the break, and increase their goalscoring threat.

Everton have already brought in Cenk Tosun this month, and are expected to make more additions before the transfer window closes.
