According to iNews last week, Newcastle United are interested in signing Amadou Onana from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window.
The report claimed that Newcastle are monitoring the availability of the 21-year-old Belgium international midfielder.
The Athletic are now reporting that Onana could leave Everton in the summer of 2023.
The report has claimed that the Belgian is “the most likely big departure” from Everton this summer.
Chelsea and Arsenal wanted to sign Onana in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic, who have added that the former Lille star “represents Everton’s best chance of making a profit and sizeable bids would almost certainly be entertained”.
