According to the Daily Mail, Everton are continuing negotiations with Watford over a potential deal for Abdoulaye Doucoure.
It’s claimed that Doucoure wants to leave Watford this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.
Everton have already had one bid for Doucoure rejected, but the midfielder wants to join Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park.
Everton aren’t giving up their pursuit, and seemingly hope to reach a breakthrough in talks to finally bring Doucoure to Merseyside.
The 27-year-old was the subject of a £30million Everton bid last summer, but Watford stood firm and refused to let him go.
Now in the Championship, Watford may find it difficult to keep him this time around – but at least want Everton to stump up considerable cash.

Everton have already missed out on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and must now find a player to bring the energy that Ancelotti wants in midfield.
Doucoure, a real box-to-box midfielder with Premier League experience, fits the bill for the Toffees – and those continued talks are a step in the right direction.
