Everton could send young forward Ademola Lookman out on loan.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton are considering loaning out forward Ademola Lookman before next Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
The Toffees have brought in two attackers this month, as Sam Allardyce has splashed nearly £50million on centre forward Cenk Tosun and winger Theo Walcott.
Both players should provide a major boost to Allardyce’s attack after some disappointing displays in the final third of late, but it also means some players will miss out on playing time.
Aaron Lennon has already been offloaded to Burnley, and the Liverpool Echo now report that the Toffees are considering sending Ademola Lookman out on loan.
Lookman, 20, joined Everton from Charlton Athletic in January of last year, with the Toffees splashing up to £11million on the young forward who had impressed for the Addicks.
This season, Lookman has started just three games in all competitions despite threatening to show the pace and skill that Everton have been lacking this season, notching two goals and one assist in all competitions.
Now, it’s claimed that Lookman could be heading out on loan for first-team football elsewhere in the second half of the season, with Everton weighing up a deal before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
Right now, it’s claimed that Everton are reluctant to let him go, but could change their stance over the coming days given that Lookman is well down the pecking order under Sam Allardyce.
