According to The Sun, Everton are considering selling goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for around £50million this summer, with Stoke City’s Jack Butland considered as a potential replacement.

The Toffees have seen Pickford go through ups and downs both on and off the pitch this season, meaning they could be tempted into a sale.

Pickford only arrived from Sunderland two years ago, but has instantly become a regular at Goodison Park whilst also nailing down a spot as England’s first-choice stopper.

For the right money though, Everton will consider selling Pickford this summer according to The Sun, with £50million needed to prise him away from Goodison Park.

Everton are subsequently eyeing up potential successors in goal, and Stoke City’s Jack Butland allegedly being considered as a target should Pickford move on.

Butland had been in a battle with Pickford for playing time with England before the World Cup, and needs a Premier League move in order to enhance his international chances.

The 26-year-old had one more season with Stoke following their relegation, but with no chance of promotion back to the Premier League, Butland may well be leaving the Potters come the end of the season.

Everton would only be an option if Pickford goes, but as a goalkeeper with Premier League experience and still some room to develop, Butland could be a smart option.
