Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Real Betis stopper.
According to a report from Spanish media outlet El Gol Digital, Everton are lining up a summer swoop for Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adán.
Jordan Pickford is the number one stopper at Goodison Park, but more competition for the England international certainly would not be a bad thing heading into the new season.
Adan, 31, began his career with Real Madrid, before joining Betis on a free transfer in January 2014, and he has since gone on to make 165 appearances for the La Liga side.
Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the Spaniard possesses an imposing physique, and commands his penalty area with authority.
He also a competent distributor of the football, as well as being a good communicator.
El Gol Digital claim that the Toffees are keen on signing Adan, although they will face stiff competition from Real Sciedad and Getafe for his signature.
According to Transfer Markt, the 31-year-old is valued at £7 million, and in today’s day and age, that represents decent value for money for someone with so much experience of playing at the highest level.
