West Bromwich Albion have reportedly made initial enquiries for Sam Allardyce, but Everton seem keen to keep him at Goodison Park.

The Baggies are on the lookout for their next permanent manager following Alan Pardew’s departure last month. Darren Moore has done a wonderful job in caretaker charge, but the Mail reports that West Brom have their eye on Allardyce’s situation at Goodison Park.

It has not been an easy time for Big Sam, with many of the Toffees fans adamant that he is not the right man to take the club forward. While results have been good, the style of play has been underwhelming for many supporters and there appears to be a desire to see the former Crystal Palace boss replaced.
Interestingly, West Brom appear to be waiting in the wings to see if Allardyce leaves at the end of the current campaign having made contact over a potential approach.

It will certainly surprise many if Everton hand Allardyce an extension, but he will point to the success that they have enjoyed during his time with the club as a reason why he has earned the fresh terms.
Whether Allardyce’s supporters amongst the board get their way remains to be seen, but it does certainly appear that West Brom will be keeping a very keen eye on developments in the coming weeks.
