According to The Telegraph, Everton assistant manager Joao Pedro Sousa is set to leave the Premier League club and move to Portuguese side FC Famalicao.

It has been reported that Sousa has been offered a two-year contract by Famalicao to become their new manager.

Sousa has been part of Silva’s coaching team at Sporting Lisbon, Olympiakos, Hull City, Watford and Everton.

Big miss

Sousa is a very important figure in Silva’s coaching set-up, and it will be interesting to see how replaces him.

The Portuguese is a very good coach, and there is no surprise that he is leaving to pursue his managerial ambitions.

Sousa will be a big miss for Silva, who will have to find someone as good as him to be his right-hand man.

Everton ended the 2018-19 Premier League season in eighth place with 54 points from 38 matches, three points behind seventh-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Toffees will be hopping to fare better next season and at least challenge to break into the top six.
