Everton winger Ademola Lookman is reportedly wanted by RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the German club will make a fourth offer of £25 million, but the Toffees are claimed to want £28m plus add-ons.
The £25m reported bid will be RB Leipzig’s record fee, according to The Mirror, which also claims that the winger’s departure from Everton is imminent with the youngster having been left out of the Toffees’ squad for the Premier League game against Bournemouth this weekend.
The Mirror has also reported that Everton have changed their initial stance on Lookman of not selling due to the signings of Richarlison and Bernard and the impressive performances of the former.
“With the Brazilian duo added to the squad Lookman’s playing time would be further reduced and Everton fear his value will only fall if he remains at Goodison Park but is given minimal playing time,” states the report in The Mirror.
Departure makes sense
If Lookman wants to leave and is unlikely to get much playing time this season, then it would make sense for Everton to sell the Englishman – who earns £23,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.
Leipzig appear to be keen on securing the services of Lookman, and a transfer fee of £25m for the 20-year-old England Under-21 international would be quite a coup for Everton.
