Everton boss Marco Silva has made Barcelona’s Yerry Mina one of his top targets this summer.

Farhad Moshiri and co have been working on a deal to bring Mina to Goodison Park, and despite fierce competition the centre-back is expected on Merseyside today.
Everton want to strengthen at the back, with Marco Silva keen to tighten up his defence, and Mina is a top target.
The Colombian impressed at the World Cup, where he scored three goals from corners, and he could increase the aerial strength in Everton’s defence.
The Toffees only have Michael Keane, Phil Jagielka and Mason Holgate competing for places at centre-back currently, meaning signing a new defender has become a priority for Silva.

Mina has little experience in European football, after barely featuring for Barca, but there is confidence at Everton that the towering defender will be a good addition.
Mina could become Everton’s fourth addition of the summer, after the arrivals of Lucas Digne, Richarlison and Bernard.
