Everton and Aston Villa appear to be battling for the 19-year-old’s signature, but it seems that the Premier League side are winning the race.
A report in the Birmingham Mail has suggested that Everton are currently ahead of Aston Villa in the race to sign Wolfsburg prospect Anton Donkor.
The Mail reports that the Villans had made some good strides in their attempts to land the 19-year-old, having held discussions with the youngster’s agent.

However, it appears that the Championship outfit may not be the ones who win the battle as the Mail adds that Donkor is now keen on an Everton switch and will hold talks with the Goodison Park hierarchy at some stage this week.

The prospect is yet to play for Wolfsburg’s first-team, but has played regularly on the wing for their reserve side and boasted a hugely impressive record while playing for their under-19 team last season.
He scored 14 goals in 26 games for the Bundesliga outfit’s youth side, and while it seems highly unlikely that he would initially be able to replicate anything like that kind of record if he was join either Everton or Aston Villa, the statistics certainly suggest that he has a very bright future ahead of him.
