According to Fanatik, Everton are interested in signing Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Altay Bayındır, along with Ajax and Sevilla.
What’s the story?
Well, the Turkish news outlet believe Fenerbahçe don’t want to sell their No.1.
However, the Süper Lig side will be tempted into a deal if someone meets their €20 million (£17 million) valuation of the shot-stopper.
Fenerbahçe signed the 23-year-old from Ankaragücü for just €1.5 million (£1.3 million) in 2019, and he has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Bayındır has earned international recognition, winning one cap for Turkey.
He also drew praise from Mesut Özil after impressing the German, shortly after his move from Arsenal.
In 35 appearances for Fenerbahçe last season, the glovesman conceded just 31 goals and kept 12 clean sheets.
Jordan Pickford shouldn’t be worried

In our view, this news shouldn’t concern Jordan Pickford.
At first glance, it might seem as if Marcel Brands is searching for the Englishman’s replacement.
However, from our point of view, the Toffees are just looking to replace his former deputy Robin Olsen, who has returned to Roma after his loan ended.

If this is the case, Everton should look elsewhere.
It doesn’t sound as if Fenerbahçe are going to sell Bayındır for less than £17 million, which is too expensive for a backup goalkeeper, in our view.
