Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ chances of landing Lucas Ocampos this summer could have taken a blow, as AS Sport suggest that he wants Champions League football.
The Daily Mirror (21 August, page 58) suggested that Everton and Wolves want Ocampos this summer, as they eye additions to strengthen their attack.
However, reports in Spain claim that the Sevilla winger is only interested in a move to a club with top tier European football on offer.
If that is to be the case, then it will rule out moves to both Everton and Wolves for Argentine, who is valued at £45 million.
Everton and Wolves may have big ambitions, but it could be a while before they could offer him the Champions League football that he craves.
That being said, if Ocampos was to join, then both side’s chances of breaking the top four would surely be improved.

The 26-year-old just had the finest season of his career, where he scored 17 goals and claimed five assists.
And if he could repeat those sort of figures in either a Wolves or an Everton shirt, he would make both sides an even bigger threat next term.
