Everton and West Ham target Gianmarco Ferrari has a £11.5m release clause at Sassuolo.

There is plenty of interest in Ferrari, with Monaco, Sevilla and Spartak Moscow also keeping tabs on the defender.

Napoli were strongly linked with the 26-year-old back in May, but their president Aurelio De Laurentiis refused to meet the release clause.
Sassuolo were unwilling to allow Ferrari, who impressed greatly on loan at Sampdoria during the 2017/18 season, to leave for less than that.

However, what it does mean is that if the Toffees and West Ham due genuinely want the Italian then they can land him for the relatively low fee of £11.5m.
Both sides are clearly looking for recruitment at the back as they shape their squad under respective new managers Marco Silva and Manuel Pellegrini.
