Brighton also had a scout present at the game.
Everton, West Ham and Brighton and Hove Albion all had scouts watching a Portuguese fixture this weekend, although it was not a marquee fixture.
The English trio were present as Feirense took on Rio Ave in the Portuguese top-flight, according to A Bola in Portugal.
The report claims that scouts from Premier League duo Everton and West Ham were present along with Championship high-flyers Brighton. French side Nice and Spanish outfit Eibar also had scouting teams present at the fixture.
Rafa Soares in action
In terms of who they might have been looking at, it is Rio Ave who have the more recognisable names in their squad – even if they did lose the game 2-1.
Left-back Rafa Soares is likely to have been the main object of any scouting. He is on loan at Rio Ave from Porto and is a very talented full-back who would be of interest to the trio.

Striker Goncalo Pacienca, who scored their goal, is also on loan from Porto and would be a good signing considering his potential.
Then there is Croatian talent Filip Krovinovic, who would also be a talented arrival at any of the clubs.
It will be interesting to see if Everton, West Ham or Brighton make a move for any of these players in the future.
